There’s a moment I keep coming back to.
Our Director of Demand Generation, Florian Mukuta, is on a video call with our Chief Client Officer, Chris Mueller. Florian’s screen-sharing HubSpot — not to review a report, not to pull a dashboard. He’s teaching. Walking Chris through how to build a client segment, apply bulk actions, and trigger a targeted outreach sequence — in real time, in response to a fuel crisis affecting team members in the Philippines.
No IT ticket. No request to “the marketing team.” Just a leader, a tool, and the organizational muscle memory to use both.
Within minutes, 301 contacts — segmented by region, client tier, and service type — were identified and queued for personal outreach. Not because we scrambled. Because the data was already clean, the segments were already built, and the team already knew exactly what to do.
That moment told me everything I needed to know about where we are with HubSpot.
We Didn’t Buy a CRM. We Built an Operating System.
Booth is a certified B Corp. We offer global hiring, managed staffing, employer of record services, and AI-augmented operations across delivery hubs in Manila, Cebu, Bogotá, and Medellín — with the ability to hire in 120+ countries. With nearly 2,000 employed professionals working on behalf of our clients across the globe, that trust is not abstract. It demands infrastructure that can match it.
We didn’t implement HubSpot to close deals faster. We implemented it because we believe growth and integrity aren’t in tension — and we needed infrastructure that reflected that belief.
Today, HubSpot touches every part of our revenue lifecycle. Sales pipeline. Product catalog and quoting. Client health scoring. Website and content. Marketing sequences. Recruitment integration. Team training. And now — AI.
Let me show you what that actually looks like.
Revenue Doesn’t Start at Signature. It Starts at Activation.
The most sophisticated thing we’ve built in HubSpot isn’t a dashboard. It’s a closed loop.
In managed staffing, you don’t make money when a deal closes. You make money when a person shows up to work. That gap — between “closed” and “activated” — is where most BPO companies lose visibility, and where we decided to build our most important integration.
Our Organizational Effectiveness team has integrated HubSpot Deals with Zoho Recruit. When a role is filled and a person is seated, that signal flows back into HubSpot. Suddenly, our revenue reporting is honest. Pipeline reflects real economic activity — not just signatures. Our leaders can see exactly where the gap is between sold and delivered, and act on it.
That’s not a HubSpot feature. That’s a business model decision made visible through a tool.
Client Care Is Not a Department. It’s a Data Layer.
The second shift happened when our Client Success team started living in HubSpot. Then Operations. Then leadership.
We built our Client Engagement Score framework in Q1 — piloting it with our top clients and tracking manually in Google Sheets to pressure-test the model first. Now we’re migrating it into HubSpot, automating the scoring, and rolling it out to all 150+ active clients. That migration is one of our Q2 priorities precisely because we’ve seen what the data can do. Custom properties will track engagement signals across the full relationship lifecycle: responsiveness, QBR participation, satisfaction inputs, expansion activity. A composite score will calculate automatically. When a client moves from green to yellow, a task fires to their CSM before the client ever picks up the phone.
We moved from reactive account management to structured anticipation. That shift — from firefighting to foresight — is worth more than any feature on any product roadmap.
HubSpot Fluency Is a Leadership Competency.
Most companies invest in the tool, train the frontline, and leave leadership to ask for reports. We went the other direction.
That moment I described at the top — Florian teaching Chris in real time — wasn’t an anomaly. It was the payoff of a deliberate cultural choice. We expect our leaders to be in the system. Not to micromanage. But because leaders who understand their data make faster, better decisions. And because a company that grows without compromise needs every function speaking the same language.
We also run a dedicated weekly RevOps meeting — separate from our Monday GTM call — where Sales, Marketing, and Client Success get into the nitty gritty together. Pipeline hygiene. Segment logic. Sequence performance. Data integrity. It’s not a strategy meeting. It’s a working session inside the tool. That cadence is what keeps HubSpot honest and keeps every revenue-touching team aligned on the same reality.
Why Mission Alignment in a Tech Stack Is Non-Negotiable
We’re a B Corp. That means we’re legally accountable to people, planet, and profit — in that order. When we evaluate tools, we don’t just ask “does this work?” We ask “does this reflect how we want to operate?”
HubSpot’s customer-first philosophy maps directly onto our values. We’re not using it to spray and pray. We’re using it to know our clients deeply, respond to them personally, and build the kind of trust that turns a contract into a partnership.
Our website runs on HubSpot CMS — which means the moment someone reads our content, fills out a form, or clicks a CTA, that signal connects directly to their contact record. No handoff. No gap. Marketing, sales, and client success all see the same person across the full journey. That alignment isn’t a marketing talking point. It shows up in every workflow, every score, every conversation.
The Next Layer: AI That Knows Your Clients
We’re building BoothAgent — an agentic AI layer designed for offshore operations teams running high volumes of complex transactions. HubSpot is part of that ecosystem. As we build out BoothBrain, our proprietary data infrastructure, HubSpot will be one of the systems feeding into it — and receiving signals back. That integration is on the roadmap. For now, what HubSpot gives us is something equally valuable: a clean, trusted record of every client relationship we’ve built.
To accelerate that work, we’ve connected Claude — Anthropic’s AI — directly to HubSpot. Our growth leadership team uses it as a strategic thinking partner, working from the same data layer our sales, CS, and ops teams run on. Deal analysis. Client health context. Pipeline intelligence. All in one place.
The reason is simple: we don’t sell things we haven’t lived. If we’re going to help our clients run AI-augmented operations, we have to run our own business on it first.
The Lesson Isn’t the Tool
HubSpot didn’t transform Booth. We decided to build a company where every team, every leader, and every data point works toward the same thing: sustainable growth that doesn’t cost us our integrity. HubSpot made that decision visible, measurable, and scalable.
Choose tools that match your values. Build fluency across your entire leadership team. Treat your CRM as a culture artifact — not a sales artifact.
And when the unexpected happens — wherever in the world your people are — you’ll already be ready.
