Clearer Billing, Flexible Contracts, and Better Digital Services Help Wireless Carriers Earn Higher Ratings From Business Customers
Troy, Michigan, 16 October 2026 – Satisfaction with business wireless services in the United States increased in 2026 as companies reported improvements in billing, contract clarity, and service flexibility. According to the latest J.D. Power U.S. Business Wireless Satisfaction Study, overall satisfaction rose by nine points to 735 on a 1,000-point scale, reflecting year-over-year gains across small businesses, medium-sized companies, and large enterprises.
The findings suggest that wireless providers are making progress in addressing the needs of business customers. Companies increasingly depend on mobile connectivity to manage daily operations, support remote employees, coordinate field teams, and communicate with customers. Reliable wireless services are therefore an important part of business continuity and productivity.
The study gathered feedback from 3,709 commercial decision-makers between June and August 2026. Respondents reported that wireless plans had become easier to understand, contracts were clearer, and service agreements offered greater flexibility than in the previous year.
Carrier performance varied by business size. T-Mobile ranked first in the large enterprise segment, which includes organizations with 500 or more employees, earning 768 points. Verizon Wireless followed with 748 points.
In the medium-sized business segment, covering companies with 20 to 499 employees, Verizon Wireless took the leading position with 747 points. T-Mobile followed closely with 741 points.
Among small businesses with one to 19 employees, T-Mobile ranked first with 712 points. Spectrum Business placed second with 692 points, while AT&T followed at 691 points.
These results highlight how customer expectations can differ according to the size and needs of an organization. Larger companies may require extensive account management and dependable support across multiple locations, while smaller businesses may place greater emphasis on affordable plans, simple billing, and easy access to assistance.
Network quality remained the most important factor in satisfaction across business segments. Other measures included service costs, billing, available plans and promotions, digital tools, and customer support. Medium-sized and large enterprises also evaluated their experiences with sales representatives.
Although overall satisfaction improved, the study identified areas that still require attention. Phone-based customer support and consistent service quality remain important concerns. Businesses need timely answers when connectivity problems affect employees, customers, or essential operations.
Wireless providers are also expanding their use of digital tools and automated support systems. These technologies can help customers manage accounts and resolve routine issues more quickly. However, automation must be supported by effective escalation processes so that customers can reach knowledgeable representatives when a problem requires additional attention.
For businesses choosing a wireless provider, the findings reinforce the importance of looking beyond monthly prices. Network reliability, contract flexibility, billing accuracy, and the quality of customer support can all influence the overall value of a service.
As companies continue to depend on mobile connectivity, wireless providers will need to balance digital convenience with reliable human assistance. The latest J.D. Power findings show improving satisfaction across the business market, while also highlighting the need for consistent service and effective customer support.
