Mastercard is soon going to allow users to pay with just a smile

The days when you had to use cash to pay for taxis, autos, or groceries are now behind you. That’s because the UPI or digital payment method has made it easier for users to conduct transactions. However, soon digital payments will lose their relevance because Mastercard’s new biometric program will let users make payments just by smiling. This is not something that is only found in books or movies. This is a reality that the company has announced via a press release. Mastercard has announced that a new biometric program will be launched globally. The program is currently being tested in Brazil.

The next generation of in-person payments will only require a quick smile or wave of your hand. The trusted technology that uses your face or fingerprint to unlock your phone can now be used to help speed through the checkout process.

The blog explained that users can simply check the bill to see if they owe anything, and if they do, they can smile into a camera to pay their debt. They can also make a payment with their hand by waving it over the reader. This would speed up transactions and give users more control over how they pay. The payments system can be integrated with loyalty programs and personalized recommendations to help consumers find products they might be interested in based on their past purchases.
