In every industry, every application developed, ultimately, what users look for is simplicity. This is especially important when dealing with huge projects and application developments. This is where TimeSuite is creating a difference with its project management and accounting solution. “TimeSuite’s comprehensive project management and accounting solution for the construction industry accomplishes simplicity with a set of features including customizable grids and dialogues in addition to the capability to turn on and off features, fields and menu items in alignment with customer needs.” explains Eric Malouff, CEO, TimeSuite.
TimeSuite is an all in one solution. Project Management with accounting, doc control, resource scheduling, critical path scheduling, task management. RFIs, Submittals, CORs, Change Order Control, Plans and Annotations, Subcontract Control, Purchasing, Project Projections, and automated Percentage of Completion all with Quickbooks ease of use. “A single system is significantly better than integrated systems.” says Malouff.
TimeSuite enables the users to modify grid views, dialog views, visible tabs, and dynamically set drill-down functionality so numbers can be easily supported. With a dynamic setup, the system configuration can be modified after implementation. Thus, implementations do not require rigid critical decisions that are not reversible. In fact, TimeSuite is the first system to comprehensively automate the Percentage of Completion method of accounting. TimeSuite has an automated audit trail that combines Quickbook’s ease of use with what the team believe to be the most comprehensive ERP ever delivered. TimeSuite’s “history of changes” functionality provides clear visibility to record changes. TimeSuite has a modern normalized relational data structure. “What really distinguishes us is that we’re able to make the screen simplistic. We set them up in a simplistic way, and customers can just add the menu items and fields as they need.” points Malouff.
Since its inception, TimeSuite has been a pioneer in delivering cutting-edge solutions to its clientele. An instance that highlights the company’s value proposition is when the team assisted a roofing contractor in the Dallas area that needed the ability to default cost codes at the employee level. To deliver this feature to its customer, TimeSuite’s team made architectural changes that provides customers with the ability to set field defaults using a formula editor. Thus, allowing defaults to be dynamically set anywhere in the system on any field.
The vision that led to the founding of TimeSuite was through providing audits and reviews of construction companies. TimeSuite was funded and developed by a Construction Specific CPA firm located in Denver Colorado. TimeSuite has always taken a dynamic (turn on/turn off) approach with respect to menu items, and dialog/grid field selections. In early 2011, the company embarked on re-architecting the core of its system with the belief that a true ERP could only be done well with a perfected core. It took over 7 years, and several refactoring architectural iterations to get to a core that achieved its goal.
Today, TimeSuite’s current customer base is primarily in the US. The team continues to push its focus on communication and visibility. Text messaging, knowledge-base, and off-line modes are recent additions to the system. Additionally, colors, font characteristics and labels can now be dynamically set to facilitate focus on conditional data points.
