Meta Quest+ VR subscription service launched

Meta debuted its virtual reality (VR) subscription service for its array of VR-capable devices.

For its subscribers, Meta Quest+ provides free games and extra VR material. The business has declared that it will begin adding two new VR games in August. Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta, announced the introduction of Meta Quest+ via an Instagram broadcast channel. The cost of the subscription service is $7.99 per month or $59.99 per year. Users of the US Quest 2 and Quest Pro headsets can currently access the service. The service will soon be accessible for the Quest 3 as well, according to the business.

Members of Meta Quest+ have access to games like Pistol Whip and Pixel Ripped 1995. As long as they are subscribers, users will also have access to these books. For those who don’t know, the Meta Quest line of headsets is renowned for providing an economical virtual reality experience. Meta just revealed their Quest 3 headset with better tracking technology, which will go on sale this autumn.

According to Meta’s website, the flagship VR headset Meta Quest Pro is now available for $999.99, down from its original launch price of $1,499.99, and Quest 2 is being offered for $299.99. In contrast, Apple just entered the virtual reality space with the release of its $3,499 Vision Pro augmented reality headset.
