Expanding its developer cloud, Intel enables users to test new CPUs

In order to get more application developers to utilize its processors, Intel Corp (INTC.O) wants to extend the Intel Developer Cloud to allow users to test a variety of new chips before they enter the market.

In order to save time, chip manufacturers are increasingly allowing hardware and software developers to test out chips remotely in the cloud before they are deployed.A robust ecosystem of software developers is gradually becoming a differentiator for semiconductor hardware producers. Because of the popularity of its CUDA software platform, many artificial intelligence researchers claim to employ Nvidia Corp.’s (NVDA.O) processors for AI computing work.
