What technologies are critical for your business ecosystem? Find answers at ISE 2024 in Barcelona

Today’s business owner understands the critical importance of technology for ensuring the smooth operation of a competitive organization. The enterprise has evolved rapidly over the past few years, rising to the challenges of hybrid working practices, adapting to the growing use of AI and protecting business systems against cyber threats. Technology plays a key role here, ensuring the success of businesses that are agile, driven, and secure.

Your Destination for Enterprise Innovation

Integrated Systems Europe is the world’s leading audiovisual and systems integration exhibition, taking place at the Fira de Barcelona Gran Via, from 30 Jan – 2 Feb 2024. This edition also marks the 20th anniversary of the event.

The exhibition attracts a global audience of AV professionals and end users to explore multiple industry verticals, including the enterprise, highlighting the innovations that are transforming how we learn, work, live and more. Alongside the vast exhibition show floor, the ISE Conference Program includes nine specialized conferences covering a wide range of topics, including Smart Workplace, Control Rooms and Smart Buildings.

The Critical Importance of Control Rooms

As a global professional market worth $5.1 billion (in 2021)*, control rooms are now undergoing rapid change as the critical communications industry shifts towards digital and broadband. As a crucial element to the running of businesses, control rooms provide a designated secure space for management teams to collaborate and problem solve, separate from the day-to-day running of the company.

A recent report by global analyst Omdia, outlined the benefits of a modern control room, including enhanced cloud data capabilities that bring the control room ‘out of the room’. Artificial Intelligence is being used to improve decision making, automate processes and enhance monitoring and prediction capabilities. Location is also key for fast, efficient responses and public safety, with Advanced Mobile Location (AML) services having now been deployed in 30 countries worldwide. Finally, Data Analytics and video analytics allow for data driven decisions, while also monitoring and optimizing workflows and processes.

To discover the trends and technologies making an impact in control rooms, schedule a visit to The Control Rooms Summit which takes place on Tuesday 30 January at ISE 2024. With a focus on the rise of data and AI in control rooms, the summit will explore two crucial aspects: the development of cyber security within control room technology and operations and how do we ensure that we recruit, train, and retrain the skills required now and in the future? Industry practitioners, suppliers, and subject experts will join Conference Chair, Chris Dreyfus-Gibson of Deloitte Consulting, to explore how we can secure the future of the control rooms industry by protecting infrastructure and operations and building an effective workforce.

The Future of the Workplace

Technology continues to transform working environments, creating inclusive, equitable and productive spaces that can improve outcomes and encourage collaboration, with unified communications playing a huge role in supporting the modern workforce.

As workers continue to embrace hybrid and remote working, unified communications technology is crucial to creating a cohesive, productive and satisfied workforce. But, while the more visible side of UC like videoconferencing systems and interactive displays take a lot of the attention, much of the innovation is happening behind the scenes. Cloud and data technologies are transforming how enterprises manage their estates, providing valuable information on how buildings are operating and if spaces are being fully utilized.

The Smart Workplace Summit takes place from Wednesday 31 January – Thursday 1 February during ISE 2024. Produced in association with the International Facilities Management Association, the summit aims to tackle the new challenges facing the workplace, with a comprehensive agenda that includes regulation and standards strategies, climate change and sustainability, and how to integrate ESG into operations. Hosted by Conference Chair, Gary Keene, Audio Visual Architect at University of the Arts London, with panel discussions, case studies and expert speakers, attendees will leave armed with the tools and knowledge required to embrace the evolution of the modern workplace.

In addition, the Smart Building Conference: Understanding the ROI of Smarter Building on Tuesday 30 January will present a range of smart building case studies and presentations from leaders of the latest technology and solutions for inside smart buildings, smart homes and smart offices. Chaired by Bob Snyder, this session will look at how buildings old and new are becoming smarter, with insights from building engineering consultants, corporate real estate executives, architects, master system integrators, IT/AV system houses and more.
