A 2.1 billion pound ($2.8 billion) takeover by Aristocrat Leisure (ALL.AX) was rejected by Playtech (PTEC.L) shareholders on Wednesday, with 45.32 percent voting against the deal at a meeting.
The news comes after Playtech said earlier in the day that the 680-pence-per-share transaction agreed to in October was likely to fall through, and that it was looking into alternative “interesting” options.
