Advanced Micro Devices Inc (AMD)(AMD.O) announced on Monday that it had completed the $49.8 billion acquisition of Xilinx Inc (XLNX.O) in the largest semiconductor industry deal ever.
The deal’s completion follows Nvidia Corp’s (NVDA.O) decision to cancel its plans to buy SoftBank-owned (9984.T) Arm Ltd, citing regulatory concerns.
AMD’s acquisition has received all essential approvals, according to the company.
