A Chance to Hold the Flow of Water and Money with One Power-packed Effort

The human excellence is rooted in a host of different aspects, but none define it better than our ability to grow on a consistent basis. This commitment towards getting better, no matter the situation, has brought the world some huge milestones, with technology emerging as quite a major member of the stated group. The reason why we hold technology in such an esteemed stature is, by and large, predicated upon its skill-set, which ushered us towards a reality that nobody could have ever imagined otherwise. Nevertheless, if we look beyond the surface for one hot second, it will become abundantly clear how the whole runner was also very much inspired from the way we applied those skills across a real world environment. The latter component, in fact, did a lot to give the creation a spectrum-wide presence, and as a result, initiated a full-blown tech revolution. Of course, the next thing this revolution did was to scale up the human experience through some outright unique avenues, but even after achieving a feat so notable, technology will somehow continue to bring forth the right goods. The same has turned more and more evident in recent times, and assuming one new environment-themed development ends up with the desired impact, it will only put that trend on a higher pedestal moving forward.

HydroPoint, the leader in smart water management solutions, has officially announced the launch of a new groundbreaking platform called HydroPoint 360, which is designed to help businesses achieve true measurable water sustainability, and at the same time, make real improvements in and around their bottom line. Currently available for only qualified companies, the stated solution will deliver at your disposal comprehensive data insights, waste forecasting, and localized industry-specific best practices. But how will it actually deliver on that promise? Well, the answer begins from its state-of-the-art flow technology, which can go a long way especially when the agenda is to conceive accurate, reliable, and adaptable data capabilities, capabilities that are also affordable for a wider customer segment and have an easy implementation process. Complimenting the same is how you can quickly deploy solution’s flow monitoring sensors across entire property portfolios, and then use that to continuously monitor water flow. Another detail aiding HydroPoint 360’s case is its intuitive cloud based software. This software, accessible from virtually anywhere, can seamlessly delivers real-time data visualization, anomaly detection, and actionable insights so to make it possible for users to align critical water priorities across their organization and make informed water management decisions. Another piece of core element that will help the solution in question get to where it aspires to be is a more proactive brand of outcome management. Here, you have HydroPoint’s water experts team relaying strategic planning advice and site accountability, along with proactive support and engagement to guide your organization on the journey to achieve its water goals.

Having touched on the underlying technology, we now must discuss the benefits it can bring the on an actionable level. In reference to how HydroPoint 360 will be backed by a team of experts focused on site accountability, it also involves businesses that are not, at the moment, actively handling any water management operations. For them, and the ones that are involved in such efforts, HydroPoint 360 will bring comprehensive water data and analytics in a single view, which is going to enhance accountability and transparency across the organization. Next up, we have the possibility of reducing risks and business disruptions. Such an objective will be pursued, in practice, through an analysis on various regional factors, such as water rates, weather changes, and water availability. The purpose of this analysis is to understand the laid out factors, contextualize them with practical circumstances, and then mitigate all their risks that can leave potentially detrimental impact on a business. Not just eliminating disruptions, but the solution can also eliminate many of those unnecessary costs from your company. You see, taking into account its pledge to reduce water waste and ensure that mismanaged water isn’t causing any expensive infrastructure damage; HydroPoint 360 can propel your finances to a much healthier state.

“Water waste and water blindness are silent thieves, draining resources and posing financial risks that often go unnoticed,” said Christopher Spain, CEO of HydroPoint. “HydroPoint 360 changes the game by enabling real-time visibility and insights into site-wide and portfolio-wide water usage. This integrated platform leverages our more than 20 years of experience with a full array of EPA WaterSense certified solutions for outdoor and indoor water management.”

Rounding up the highlights for us is the eventual benefit of enhanced sustainability. You see, with ESG initiatives and stakeholder expectations now aligned, we can expect a company’s environmental efforts to birth a greater and more long-lasting impact than, let’s say, has been witnessed thus far within the said area.

“HydroPoint 360 is a game-changer for how organizations manage their water. From the sustainability champion to the asset or property manager to the facilities or landscape maintainer – this comprehensive platform creates alignment around water priorities and goals,” said Sander Kim, Chief Product Officer at HydroPoint.

Powered through an experience of more than 20 years, HydroPoint has risen by combining IoT technology, data analytics, and automation to optimize irrigation, flow management, and facilitate timely leak detection. This the company has done using solutions like WeatherTRAK®, Baseline™, WaterCompass®, and more. To quantify the said impact, we can discuss how HydroPoint has positioned University of Utah achieve around $10 million in cost savings over the next seven to ten years. Apart from that, it has also helped popular brand Lowe’s in saving over 5 million in water costs, while simultaneously empowering the company to save 650 million gallons of water and reduce emissions by an amount equal to burning 84 thousand gallons of gasoline. Furthermore, by replacing Caltrans’ (California Department of Transportation) outdated timer-based irrigation controllers with WeatherTRAK throughout District 12, HydroPoint was able to realize savings worth 53 million gallons of water in the first four months itself, translating to an 81% decrease from the previous year. For the first whole year, though, Caltrans saved 295 million gallons of water.

“The ability to monitor water used for irrigation purposes at the level that this equipment and program gives us is remarkable. It allows each irrigator or horticulturist access to the program to make changes based on root zones, soil type, slope and other landscape data while in the field,” said Lisa McCarrel, Landscape Supervisor at University of Utah. “The system provides reports indicating water flow issues, which are received each morning. It provides information that helps the technician determine which problem should be addressed first, based on water loss or possible plant material loss.”
